An inner envelope is rooted in Wedding Invitation traditions and serves multiple purposes for the Modern bride. First and foremost to protect the invitation suite as it goes through the mail so that it arrives clean and undamaged. Additionally, the envelope liner will be placed on the inner envelope when there is one, thus preserving the artwork of the liner from being torn upon opening.
