Champagne & Ink is a creative event design and styling team run by two friends, Ellen PJ Kelly and Danielle McCarthy. Ellen and Danielle took their career experiences in art, design, management, and events and combined them to create a new, unique company specializing in high-end one-of-a-kind and handmade work. Clients find Champagne & Ink for custom designed wedding and event stationery, letterpress, prop building, photo shoot styling and direction, decor sourcing and creation, vendor curating and much more.

Without a template in sight, Ellen and Danielle love to think big. They work side by side with their clients to create experiences that are as individual to them as a thumbprint. From the look and feel of an entire day down to the smallest detail, they take it all into consideration and make sure that it is flawless.

Champagne & Ink is based in Newport, Rhode Island, where the duo both reside. Part of the joy for them is being (transplanted) locals and sharing all that Newport has to offer to their clients.

MEET DANIELLE:

My work history has ranged from photography studio assistant, art gallery manager, to business manager of a photographer with all sorts of odd roles in between; I constantly found myself writing down notes and sketching out ideas, toying with the idea of starting my own event / styling business. The push came after 2 years of being a stay at home mom and really taking the time to examine what I was passionate about; I finally realized that all of the notebooks I had filled with ideas could morph into a business.

MEET ELLEN:

My husband and I moved a few years ago to Newport RI, his hometown. Prior to our move I had been working at an advertising agency; I then moved into being strictly a freelance graphic designer. I saw this as a great opportunity to immerse myself into the community, and to bring my particular talents to a larger audience. Honestly, there is nothing I love more than designing paper goods for weddings and being able to letterpress.
