Studio Assistant for Champagne and Ink (Part Time)
Location: Newport, Rhode Island
Champagne & Ink is a premier wedding invitation design company based in Newport, Rhode Island. Our passion lies in crafting custom, creative designs that tell the unique love stories of each couple we serve. From intricate assembly to personalized client communications, every detail matters in our quest to create unforgettable invitations. We're seeking an in-person assembly assistant to join our team at our Newport office, where creativity thrives, and opportunities for growth abound.
About You:
As our studio assistant, you'll be an integral part of our team, assisting with various tasks ranging from invitation assembly and light design work to client communications and the occasional Post Office trip. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to self manage. We're looking for someone who thrives in an independent work environment and is eager to grow with our company. Qualified candidates could start immediately with 10 hours of work weekly, with hours increasing during peak season (June-September). Flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the assembly of custom wedding invitations, ensuring precision and quality in every detail.
- Collaborate with our design team on light design tasks, including template customization and minor graphic adjustments.
- Handle client communications, including email correspondence and occasional in-person consultations, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the workspace to uphold our standards of excellence.
- Assist with other ad hoc tasks and projects as needed to support the overall functioning of the company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in design or related fields is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with GSuite is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role or the wedding industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and dedicated to delivering exceptional results.
